ANNIVERSARIES
Pat and Alice Coffey
50th Anniversary
On April 2, 2015, Pat and Alice (Smith) Coffey celebrated 50 years of marriage. The children of Pat and Alice are pleased to commemorate this special day with an open house on June 20, 2015.
Pat and Alice are the proud parents of five children, 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Originally residents of Bonners Ferry, the Coffeys currently live in Spirit Lake.
Lloyd and Faith Roedel
50th Anniversary
Lloyd and Faith (Albach) Roedel of Coeur d'Alene are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Lloyd and Faith are both retired and volunteer at GoodSeed International.
Their children are: Mark Roedel of Longview, Texas; and Dina Kowal of Bakersfield, Calif. They have five grandchildren.
They celebrated their anniversary on Friday, June 12, 2015.
Dan and Lezlee Mattison
40th Anniversary
Dan and Lezlee Mattison celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on June 14, 2015. The couple has resided in Hayden since 1989.
They are the parents of two children, Ryan Mattison and Linsey Sowinski; and four grandchildren: Sawyer and Neva Mattison; and Lena and Owen Sowinski.
We wish them many more years of happiness together as they celebrate a true milestone in their lives together.
ENGAGEMENTS
Emery-Lyon
Amber Nicole Emery and Raymond Parker Lyon, both of Hayden, are engaged to be married June 20, 2015, in Mead, Wash., where a reception will follow.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Debra Emery. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Idaho in May 2015.
The groom is the son of Jim Lyon and Roberta Cook. He graduated from the University of Idaho in 2013.
The newlyweds are moving to New York City in July to pursue their careers in law and film.
Larabee-Mitchell
Lonnie and Gwynne Larabee of Rathdrum are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Mariah Christa Larabee to Joshua David Mitchell. Joshua is the son of Bryan Mitchell of Twin Lakes and Kristie Thune Mitchell of Spokane.
Mariah is a graduate of Lakeland High School. Josh graduated from Timberlake High School. They both are employed at Advanced Sprinklers and will make their home in Spirit Lake.
The couple will be united in marriage on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, at Twin Lakes.
BIRTHS
Avery Jean and Piper Kate Running were born on May 1, 2015, in Moscow to Kristi (Wilson) and Mitch Running of Troy. Avery weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces; and Piper weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces. Grandparents are Jean and Roger Hansen of Rathdrum; Jay Wilson of Las Vegas, Nev.; Jean and John Grebin of Decorah, Iowa; and Wayne Running of Nixa, Mo.
MILESTONE BIRTHDAY/4 GENERATIONS
Paul Caraway
90th Birthday
On May 1, four generations gathered to celebrate Paul Caraway's 90th birthday. With Paul are Paul Jr.; his granddaughter, Coral Cay; and his great-grandson, Cannin Christopher.
Paul is extremely grateful for the Inland Northwest Honor Flight, being a World War II veteran who served in Pearl Harbor, Iwo Jima and Nagasaki as a Sea Bee (Construction Battalion). He just returned from an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., visiting monuments dedicated to the men and women who served in World War II, the Korean and Vietnam wars. When asked how his trip was, he said, "It was like living a dream."

Mom and Dad
Marquel Patton, a graduate of Lake City High School in 2012 has completed her junior year at Lewis-Clark State College on the President's List with a 4.0 GPA. As an education and math major with ICLA scores of 92, 94 and 97 percent, she looks to graduate in May 2016 and teach somewhere in Idaho. She is the daughter of Mark and Barb Patton of Coeur d'Alene.
Ian James McNeely graduated from Brown University in Providence, R.I., with a Masters of Fine Arts in acting on May 24, 2015. Brown concluded its 250th anniversary celebration with a special closing performance at its commencement ceremony where Ian was a featured vocal performer. Ian is a graduate of the University of Idaho and Lake City High School.
Rae Hohle, the daughter of Roger Hohle of Bayview and Helen Dane of North Aurora, Ill., has been named to the dean's list of Macalester College for academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2014-15 school year.
A graduate of Illinois Math and Science Academy, Hohle was a sophomore at Macalester last spring.
Sierra Pancoast, the daughter of Gwenda and Laurence Pancoast of Post Falls, has been named to the dean's list of Macalester College for academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2014-15 school year.
A graduate of Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy, Pancoast was a sophomore at Macalester last spring.
