A Kalispell man received a suspended sentence for selling marijuana to a confidential informant.
Byron Nelson, 35, was sentenced Thursday in Flathead County District Court. He received a four-year suspended term on a conviction of felony criminal distribution of dangerous drugs.
According to court documents, Nelson met the confidential information in August 2012. The setup was carried out by the Northwest Drug Task Force.
With the informant wearing a wire, Nelson sold 27 grams of marijuana for $100. The informant brought the purchase back to law enforcement and it was tested positive.
The sentence is in accordance with a plea agreement reached in March.
