Gary R. Sprinkel, 77, passed away June 13, 2015 at Hospice House in Hayden. Gary was born October 31, 1938 to John and Lynette Sprinkel in Downey, California. He was their only child. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, of 46 years and his children Lisa (Toney) Blake of Spokane and Robert Sprinkel of Dalton Gardens. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Catherine Lowe. Gary has three grandchildren, Taylor Lowe, Megan and Amanda Sprinkel. His greatest joy was his grandchildren whom he loved very much.

Gary attended Harding Elementary in Coeur d'Alene and graduated from Poly Tech in Long Beach, CA. He moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1963 where he went to work for Clare Pendar. In 1969 he joined Northwest Real Estate, was past president of the Board of Realtors and Chairman of the Planning and Zoning for Kootenai County. He started his own real estate company called Home and Land. Gary owned and operated Eddyville Lodge, where his love of boating could be utilized every day. After selling the lodge, Gary and his family moved to Huntington Beach, CA, where Gary taught appraisal at Long Beach College and Fullerton State College. After nine years he moved back to Coeur d'Alene where he started his own appraisal business until he retired. His son and wife still run the business.

Gary loved restoring Austin Healey cars and owned several in his lifetime and belonged to the Northwest British Classics car club. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10:00am at Yates Funeral Home, 744 North 4th Street in Coeur d'Alene. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hospice House of Hayden, 2290 Prairie Avenue, Hayden, ID, 83835.
