Law officers are looking for a man in connection with a shooting outside a Marion bar early Sunday morning.
Leif Lee, 27, is sought on felony charges of criminal endangerment and assault with a weapon following an incident outside the Rail Line Tavern.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received the initial report at 2 a.m. Sunday morning, just after the bar had closed.
A witness told deputies that he intervened in an altercation between Lee and a woman. According to court documents, Lee pulled out a gun.
The witness reportedly tried to grab the gun, at which point Lee allegedly fired twice. The bullets struck the witness in the hand and arm. One of the bullets also struck the woman, according to the court account.
The woman, a Bigfork resident, was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Lee allegedly fled on a motorcycle.
On Monday, Lee called authorities and told them that he had fired his gun during an altercation that night.
As of Wednesday, Lee was still at large. He could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
