Home builder Hayden Homes will crack the North Idaho market this weekend with grand openings at Tullamore in Post Falls and Corbin Crossing in Rathdrum.
There will be open houses at new model homes on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3277 N. Bogie Drive in Tullamore west of Highway 41, and 5994 W. Twister Road in Corbin Crossing. There will be refreshments, tours and a chance to win a barbecue grill.
"We are excited to be building in two of North Idaho's most beautiful cities and to offer quality, affordable homes to residents here," said CEO Dennis Murphy. "We look forward to serving these communities and building wealth for our homebuyers and the local economy for many years to come."
Hayden Homes' expansion into North Idaho is a result of the acquisition earlier this year of 1,200 home sites from Copper Basin Construction.
In addition to Tullamore and Corbin Crossing, Hayden Homes has also recently begun building in Country Meadows in Post Falls and the Orchard Lands in Coeur d'Alene. Homes will be completed in those communities later this summer.
In the 26 years since it was established in 1989 in Redmond, Ore., Hayden Homes has built 10,000 homes in more than 50 cities in four states.
"We've been building in the Spokane area since 1994 and saw this as a great opportunity to continue delivering on our mission of providing the highest quality home at an unparalleled value and solidifies our ongoing commitment to the Inland Northwest region for years to come," said Andrea Worley, the company's marketing coordinator.
"We target value-driven homebuyers in underserved secondary markets throughout the Northwest. Primarily this consists of first-time and first move-up buyers."
Hayden's Northwest craftsman-style homes range from $150,000 to nearly $300,000.
Hayden's Corbin Crossing model home in Rathdrum is the Hudson plan with 1,574 square feet, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
From Interstate 90, take the Highway 41 exit and head north toward Rathdrum. Turn right (east) on Lancaster Road, turn left (north) on Meyer Road and turn right (east) on Majestic Road.
The model home in Tullamore is the Stoneridge Encore plan with 2,470 square feet, three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms.
From Interstate 90, take the Spokane Street exit in Post Falls and head north on Spokane Street. Turn left on Grange Avenue, right on Chase Road, left on Fisher Avenue, left on Serenity Avenue, right on Grange and left on Staples Drive.
Hayden Homes donates a portion of every home sold back to the local community through its nonprofit, First Story. Founded in 1998, First Story helps deserving families in need achieve the dream of homeownership by partnering with local government agencies, housing authorities, nonprofits, builders and developers.
When someone buys a Hayden Home, one-eighth of 1 percent of the sales price is contributed in the buyer's name to First Story.
Hayden Homes has given more than $5 million through the program. The contribution has helped nearly 50 families realize the dream of home ownership.
