The Kootenai Rapids had a successful weekend at the U-16 Montana State Cup. After winning just one game in the regular season the Rapids made a run to the championship game.

The Rapids lost to the Lewistown Bullets in the championship game 2-1. The Rapids head coach, Austin Nagle is proud of his team, “I couldn’t be more proud of them. They did great as a team. They really improved from start to finish.”

For Nagle his first coaching experience was awesome. “It was awesome to work with a great group of kids. They really listened to what I said and put in the work. They were a hardworking group and I was proud to be their coach,” Nagle said. “It was just awesome to see all their hard work pay off by making a run to the championship. They definitely deserved it.”
