COEUR d'ALENE - Jarred Hall was among many players who starred for the Coeur d'Alene Lumbermen on Friday, as Cd'A won two games in the Best of the Northwest tournament at Thorco Field.

In a 4-3 win over the Spokane Crew, Hall drove in Sam Slusser with the go-ahead run in the sixth inning to give the Lums (20-4) the win in the evening game.

Cody Garza threw 2 ? innings of relief to earn the win, after Devin Kluss left the game in the fifth inning. Coeur d'Alene went ahead 3-0 after the third inning, before Spokane scored one run in the fourth and two in the fifth to tie the game.

"Devin threw great on the mound during the start of the game," Coeur d'Alene coach Zach Clanton said.

In a 10-2 rout of the Missoula Prospects in an earlier game, Hall earned the win on the mound and Steven Vaudreuil was 3 for 3.

"Steve set the table at the top and we fed off that really well," Clanton said.

Coeur d'Alene will play against the Twin City Titans from the Tri-Cities tonight at 6 p.m. at Thorco Field.

Prairie falls to

Billings, Expos

POST FALLS - The Prairie Cardinals went 0-2 on the final day of pool play in the Best of the Northwest tournament on Friday, losing to the Billings Royals 11-1 and Spokane Expos (Red) 9-3 at Post Falls High.

"These were two tough losses for our team today," Prairie coach Brian Fowler said. "We had the lead for the first couple of innings in both of them and just couldn't finish. I thought both of our starting pitchers today (Dalton Lozier and Sam Schultze) pitched good enough. Our defense and bats just couldn't help them out enough to get the job done."

Billings scored three runs in the fourth and six in the fifth inning.

Spokane scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth to break open a 2-2 tie game.

Prairie will face the Missoula Prospects today at 12:30 p.m. in a loser-out game at Central Valley High in Spokane.
