Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 10 years, 6 months AGO
COEUR d'ALENE - The woman found dead near Hauser Lake on June 11 was identified on Friday as Kelly Lynne Sallee, 55, of Spokane.
"The death of Sallee is still listed as 'suspicious' and the cause and manner of her death is under investigation," a Kootenai County Sheriff's Office press release states.
Sallee's body was found alongside Hauser Lake Road near Newman Arm Road, partially submerged in a slough. It was located by a passerby.
As Sallee, nicknamed "Special K," was a resident of Spokane, KCSO detectives have been working in cooperation with the Spokane Police Department.
Detectives are asking the public for any information regarding Sallee or if anyone saw anything suspicious in the area of Hauser Lake Road and Newman Arm Road from June 8 to June 11 - specifically from anyone that traveled through the area, residents who may have video recordings of traffic in the area or other related knowledge.
Information regarding her recent contacts or whereabouts is also being sought.
If you have any information, call Detective Ryan Duncan 446-1338, Detective Brad Maskell 446-2238, or email it to [email protected].
No other information was released by the KCSO on Friday, including the condition of the body when it was found. Kootenai County Prosecutor Barry McHugh and Coroner Warren Keene, who both responded to the scene where the body was found, forwarded questions about the case to the KCSO.
