U10 All-Stars win Father's Day tourney

The Whitefish U10 All-Stars bucked recent history on Sunday win its home Father’s Day Tournament at Smith Fields.

Whitefish topped the Kalispell U9 team 14-4 in the finals to win the baseball title. The game was called in the bottom of the fourth inning due to the 10-run rule.

It had been eight years since Whitefish last won the tournament.

Whitefish beat the Kalispell U10 team in the semifinals to reach the championship.

Teams competing came from Mission Valley, Polson, Kalispell, Bigfork, Columbia Falls and Whitefish.
