Robin Erwin Howell age 74 of Post Falls passed away peacefully in his sleep 19 June 2015 at his home. Born 16 April 1941 in Coeur d'Alene Idaho to Russell Edward Howell and Clara Gladys Satchwell.
Robin grew up on the family farm on the Rathdrum Prairie and attended school at Rathdrum where he graduated in 1959. He married Betty Brown 12 July 1960 in Wallace, Idaho and later divorced.
His first job was on the family farm, Idaho Veneer, Jacklin seed, Post Falls Irrigation and Insement And I.M.S industries.
Robin was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, camping and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and passion with others and he also enjoyed gardening. He shot trap with his friends and nephews at Hauser Gun Club. Robin had a sense of humor that would make anyone laugh so hard their stomach ached. He will be greatly missed by all.
Robin leaves his long time partner Donna Gunderson, daughters Kelly Gilbert of Cataldo, Brook Kruse of Priest River and son Kerry Howell of Hayden; brother Larry Howell Sr and wife Diana of Post Falls and sister in law Charlene Howell of Casper Wyoming; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, many nieces. Nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother Russell Howell Jr. in December of 2014 and his parents.
A memorial to honor Robin will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 27th at Larry Howell Jr's 13022 W Burlington Rathdrum Idaho. The Howell family is under the care of Yates Funeral Homes.
