Legion baseball: Lakers AA blank Eastside, 13-0

HELENA — It took the Kalispell Lakers AA just six innings to dispose of the Eastside (Washington) Baseball Club at the Keith Sells American Legion baseball tournament of Friday.
Walker Malmin earned the win on the mound, combining with Leif Ericksen for a one-hitter in the Lakers’ 13-0 victory.
Patrick O’Connell was 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs at the plate for Kalispell.
Quinn Barber also went 3 for 4, slapping a double of his own.
Andrew Schleusner was 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs.

The Mission Valley Mariners won their first game, 12-2 over the Cranbrook Bandits before falling to the Strathmore Reds 9-5.
