ANNIVERSARIES

Fred and Berta Bjurstrom

60th Anniversary

Fred and Berta Bjurstrom, of Post Falls, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married Jan. 14, 1955, in Fullerton, Calif.

Their children are Clayton (Kay) of Goshen, Ind., Barbara (David) of Sagle, Dan (Juli) of Enumclaw, Wash., and Andy (Chris) of Hayden. They have 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Fred and Berta moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1969 and opened ABCD Day Care. They are both retired.

A family get together to celebrate their anniversary will be held July 4-5 with water activities, a barbecue and a catered dinner.

Art and Amy Cole

40th Anniversary

Longtime Coeur d'Alene residents Art and Amy Cole, will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on July 1, 2015.

They met in their early teens in Colorado and soon after moved to North Idaho to begin their lives together in 1975.

They are very loved by their two daughters, Julina Hildreth and Jami Morriss; their son-in-law Jason Hildreth and the lights of their lives - their four grandchildren, Collin and Cameron Hildreth and Caleb and Victoria Morriss.

"We are very proud and honored to have you as our parents and grandparents. We love you!"

ENGAGEMENT

Hassler-Lorimor

Jan and Chris Hassler of Sandpoint are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kellie Brielle Hassler to John Thomas Lorimor, both of Boise, son of Vicky and Mark Lorimor of Boise.

Kellie graduated from Sandpoint High School in 2008 and Boise State University in 2013. She is employed at Nampa Unified School District as a third-grade teacher at Willow Creek Elementary. John graduated from Borah High School in 2008 and attended Boise State University. He is employed at WESCO Distribution in Boise.

The couple will be united in marriage Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, in Boise.

BIRTHS

Chloe Rose Jeffers was born 8:24 a.m. June 4, 2015, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene to Jen and Adam Jeffers of Coeur d'Alene. She weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and was 20.75 inches long. Brother is Darin, 3.

Jayde Brielle Nelson was born March 2, 2015, at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise to Katy Hassler and D.J. Nelson of Boise. She weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Jan and Chris Hassler of Sandpoint. Paternal grandparents are Gayle and Dave Nelson of Sagle.

EDUCATION

Megan Koski, a resident of Dalton Gardens, has earned placement on the Gonzaga University President's List for spring semester 2015. Students must earn a 3.7 to 4.0 GPA to be listed.

She recently graduated from Gonzaga University on May 10, 2015, with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. She also attended and graduated from Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy in 2011.
