Kootenai County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Detectives have made an arrest associated with the suspicious death of Kelly Sallee.

Sallee's body was found June 11 by a passerby, off the west side of Hauser Lake Road, just north of Newman Arm Road, partially submerged in the slough.

On Thursday, Spokane Police Major Crimes Detectives arrested Patrick Neil McGhee, 47, of Hauser, on a Kootenai County warrant.

Information developed during an interview cooperatively done by SPD and KCSO Major Crimes Detectives provided the basis to obtain an arrest warrant so SPD could take him into custody.

McGhee waived extradition and he is currently being held at Kootenai County Jail on a felony charge of failing to notify law enforcement of a death; his bond is set at $250,000.

As this is still an active investigation, detectives are not releasing further details regarding the cause and manner of Sallee's death.

Numerous items of forensic evidence have been submitted for processing and even as late as last Friday, detectives were continuing to collect and process evidence.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact either Detective Duncan at 208-446-1338, Detective Maskell at 208-446-2238 or email at kcso@kcgov.us.
