ROYAL CITY - Two new events have been added to the annual Royal CitySummer Fest, which will be held on July 10-12.

Name That Tune will be played during the Friday evening festivities at the school grounds. It will be staged and emceed by popular Columbia Basin DJ Dale Roth.

Roth will spin records from the Elvis Presley era to now to tax the memories of those who have lived in the time of rock and roll, disco and grunge.

"It should be a fun event," RCSF Committee member Leslie Fanning said.

The other event, the Royal Court 3-on-3 Hoops Classic to be held in Lions Park on Saturday, will go as long as it takes to determine a winner. It is a fund-raiser for the Royal High volleyball program.

The Hoops tournament will start at 8 a.m. It will take a break at 9:30 for the parades and resume after the parades.

The Hoops Classic will have boys and girls divisions in the age groups of high school, 14-and-under and 12-and-under.

The entry fee for the Royal Court Hoop Classic will be $60 per team. Teams that sign up the day of the tourney will pay an $80 entry fee.

To sign up or ask any questions, you may call volleyball coach Paul Olsufka at 793-6200.
