Prescribed burns planned near Beaver Lake

The Tally Lake Ranger District is planning to conduct multiple prescribed fire projects next month.
Depending on weather, fuel conditions and air quality, burning will take place between March 2 and June 30.
A 50-acre burn will take place near Beaver Lake five miles west of Whitefish. An additional 20 acres will receive fire treatment along Tally Lake Road eight miles southwest of Whitefish.
Three parcels totaling nine acres will be burned at Blast Lake eight miles southwest of Whitefish and at Martin Ponds two miles west of Olney.

Rehberg to attend rally for Jesus statue
