Columbia Falls senior point guard Trevor Houston has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the University of Great Falls.

Houston, at 5-10 and 175-pounds, is a three-year letter-winner and a member of the 2014 Class A state championship team. He was also a three-time letter-winner in football, and a three-time Academic All-State honoree.

“I chose UGF because of coach Anthony Owens and coach Kevin Smith,” Houston said in a release. “I also wanted the opportunity to study at a prestigious university.”

Houston, who plans to major in pre-medicine while competing for the Argos, is averaging 1.7 steals per game and 4.43 assists per game for the Wildcats. His assists per game is tops in the Northwest Class A conference.
