COEUR d'ALENE - The third annual North Idaho Sportsman's Expo is scheduled for May 15-17 at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds.

Bringing together leading industry exhibitors and avid outdoor enthusiasts, this expo will both educate in the latest trends and products, as well as entertain with the best outdoor activities in the region. This year's event will showcase RVs, boats, ATVs, hunting, fishing, and more.

There will be 120 vendors, speakers and events at this year's expo, with highlights including Dock Dogs, archery range, fishing pond, the youth zone, outdoor adventure theater and the ATV-UTV shows.

"We're looking forward to welcoming both new and returning attendees, as well as exciting exhibitors that have come on board this year," said Ty Thomas, marketing manager for the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. "We're especially thrilled to announce our three newest attractions that will grab the attention of all ages."

These include the world's premier Dock Dogs competition, ATV/UTV races and demonstrations in the main arena, and an improved hands-on fishing pond, Thomas said.

The Kootenai County Fairgrounds hosts the annual Sportsman's Expo through the support and sponsorship of local organizations.

"Sponsors are not only an integral partner in ensuring that the fairgrounds will be around for future generations to enjoy, but also play a large role in the entertainment and education offered to families in the Northwest," Thomas said. "Educating the youth and residents in our region is our primary objective with this event."

The fairgrounds welcomes individuals and family members of all ages to the Sportsman's Expo with an admissions fee of $7 for adults and free for kids 10 and younger.

The one-time admission fee will cover all three days at the expo. Show times are 2-7 p.m. Friday, May 15; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 16; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 17.
