Charles M. Shaw passed away on March 4, 2015, at Kootenai Health.
Charles married Valeda Ann Roszman, a nursing student at Flower Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, on Aug. 29, 1953. They enjoyed a loving and dedicated marriage for 62 years.
Charles was a graduate of General Motors Institute in Flint, Mich., where he completed his four years apprenticeship in the Millwright Trade in 1954.
After raising a family of four children in California, Charles and Valeda retired to Coeur d'Alene.
Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting and the great outdoors, and had a close group of friends that shared his interests.
Charles was preceded in death by his son, Michael Charles. He is survived by his wife, Val; daughters Kim Eatmon, Julie Freitas, and Kelly Lyons; grandchildren Jeremiah Eatmon, Elizabeth Eatmon, and Rachael Lyons; and great-granddaughter Clover.
At Charles's request, no services will be held. Per his wishes, Charles will be honored at a local gathering.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
