Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 11 years, 6 months AGO
Christian Youth Theater-North Idaho is offering a touring performance of the "The Addams Family."
For the past 10 weeks, 19 students have been working on the show, a Broadway crowd-pleaser, as their class project.
The production will be performed for a limited engagement as a touring performance beginning appropriately on Friday, March 13.
Based on the popular characters from the television series, "The Addams Family" features an original story, and it's every father's nightmare.
Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family - a man her parents have never met. And if that weren't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he has never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday.
Music and lyrics for the Broadway musical comedy are by Andrew Lippa, with book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice.
