Christine C. Litz, 53, June 27, 1961 - March 4, 2015
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 9 years, 10 months AGO
On March 4, 2015, our beloved Chrissy went home to be with the Lord. She was our daughter, wife, sister, aunt, friend, proud mother, and lover of Jesus.
During her time with us she showed the world what genuine selfless, and unconditional love was. She was the person you wanted to cry with in times of grief, and rejoice with in times of joy; a confidant to many. Her integrity, love of the less fortunate, and fun spirit will continue to be a source of happiness and pride for everyone that she touched.
We'll miss her beautiful gardens that brought her so much joy, and her tender embrace that brought us great comfort. All of us will smile and laugh remembering the goofy nicknames she tagged us with (Kelly Van Delly, Buttons, Little Miss, Dandylion, Punky Lou Lou, Crackie, and Love Kitten). She was never afraid to be different, to be herself, and it was a true joy for everyone around her.
Her selfless commitment to her kids' education, her inclusiveness in all of their activities, and the lessons of kindness and compassion that she taught them will guide and comfort her children, even as they'll continue to miss and think about her every day.
Chrissy is survived by her three children: Alex, Melissa, Ashley, and their father, Al; her parents Dawn and Dave Sursely of Twin Lakes; brothers and sisters: Debbie Sursely of Twin Lakes, Kim and Jim Lauri of Hayden, Samantha Sursely of Rathdrum, Dave Sursely, Jr. of Wichita, and Colleen and Chad Gaylord of Wichita; nine nephews and nine nieces; aunt Louis of Sauk Centre, Minn., aunt Karen and uncle Gale of Hoffman, Minn., and uncle Grant and aunt Le Anne of Georgetown, Texas; plus special friends Nickel, Rebecca, Grayson, Max, Roman, Cindy, Ally and Beth.
A service honoring Chrissy will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, at Anthem Church, 251 W. Miles Ave., Hayden, Idaho.
