ENGAGEMENTS
Flannagan-Fischer
Dr. and Mrs. W. Patrick Flannagan of Bristol, Tenn., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rev. Mary Margaret Flannagan to Rev. Adam Brian Fischer, both of Louisville, Ky., son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott P. Fischer of Coeur d'Alene.
Rev. Flannagan graduated from Tennessee High School in Bristol, Tenn., in 1997, Furman University in Greenville, S.C., in 2001 and Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Ga., in 2006. She is employed by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
Rev. Fischer graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 1999, College of Idaho in 2003 and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Louisville in 2008. He is employed by Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church in Louisville.
The couple will be united in marriage at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 10, 2015, at Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church in Louisville.
Grover-Brown
Rick and Gabriele Grover are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Ann Grover to Nathan Brown, son of Gary and Cindy Brown, all of Coeur d'Alene.
Julie is employed at Horizon Credit Union. Nathan is employed at FedEx Ground.
The couple will be united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, in Coeur d'Alene.
Murphy-Hocking
Rick and Terie Murphy are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin M. Murphy to Trevor W. Hocking, both of Eugene, Ore. Trevor is the son of Susan Kalina and stepfather Jerry Sanford of Roseburg, Ore.
Erin is employed as a marketing coordinator at Pacific Continental Bank. Trevor is employed as a foreman at Pacific Corrugated Pipe.
They plan to be united in marriage in 2016.
EDUCATION
Vanessa Shippy earned an Award of Excellence in the "President's Honor Roll" for successfully achieving a 4.0 grade point average for the fall of 2014 at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla.
Vanessa is a 2014 Lake City High School graduate. She is majoring in sports management.
Newly called LDS bishopric New Cd'A Stake Relief Society Presidency
Tyson Frantz, of Post Falls, was recently called to be Bishop of the Post Falls 4th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife, Melissa, have lived in the area for 31 years and are parents of four children. Tyson is originally from Hayden Lake and was raised in Hayden Lake and Post Falls. He graduated from Benjamin Franklin Academy and also from the University of Idaho. He served a two-year mission to the Brazil, Porto Alegre North Mission. He is an assisted living operator employed by Guardian Angel Homes.
Gary Roylance, of Post Falls, will serve as 1st Counselor to Bishop Frantz. He and his wife, Kammie, have lived in the area for the past five years and have four children. Gary is originally from Provo, Utah, where he was raised and graduated from Timpview High School. He attended Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, and served a two-year mission to the California Los Angeles Mission. Gary is the service manager for Control Solutions Northwest.
Cale Larsen, of Post Falls is 2nd Counselor. He and his wife, Katie, are the parents of one child and have lived in the area for 1 1/2 years. Cale is originally from Texas. He was raised in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado. He was homeschooled and later attended Brigham Young University in computer science. Cale is a software engineer for Chief Architect. The Ward Executive Secretary is Duane Fletcher and the Ward Clerk is Jacob Cord. Post Falls 4th Ward meets every Sunday at 9 a.m. at the 16th Street Building.
New Cd’A Stake Relief Society Presidency
Loretta Bryce, of St. Maries, was recently called to be the Stake Relief Society President of the Coeur d’Alene Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband, Richard, have lived in the area for the past 4 1/2 years. They are the parents of two and have six grandsons. Loretta is originally from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. She was raised in a military family that moved every few years. She graduated from Hueneme High School in Port Hueneme, Calif.
Sheri Erickson, of Post Falls, will serve as 1st Counselor. She and her husband, Alan, have lived in the area for 12 years and have 10 children and 16 grandchildren. Sheri is originally from San Fernando Valley, Calif., and was raised in Southern California. She graduated from El Camino Real High School in Woodland Hills and later attended Brigham Young University-Idaho.
Faith Normington, of Coeur d’Alene, is 2nd Counselor. She and her husband, Spencer, have lived in the area for 22 years and have five children. Faith is originally from Los Angeles, Calif., and was raised in Orange County. She graduated from Pacifica High School in Garden Grove and received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Idaho. Faith is a paraprofessional with the Post Falls School District and hopes to be in a teaching position soon.
Sherrie Boe, of Post Falls, will serve as the stake relief society secretary. She and her husband, Richard, are the parents of three and grandparents of three. She is originally from Goldendale, Wash., and graduated from Goldendale High School.
