COEUR d'ALENE - Ben Widmyer, a sales associate with Coldwell Banker, will be the speaker at the North Idaho College Booster Club luncheon noon Tuesday at the Outback Steakhouse in Coeur d'Alene.

Widmyer was a three-sport athlete at Lake City High before accepting a football scholarship to attend Wofford College in South Carolina. As starting quarterback, he led Wofford to the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs during his career, and played professional football in Germany for two seasons after earning his degree in finance.

Currently, Widmyer specializes in investment properties and leasing of office and retail properties. He owns and operates a professional property management company with a portfolio of over 300 residential units and 100,000 square feet of commercial space.

The NIC wrestling team will also be recognized for its fourth-place NJCAA finish and the basketball team All-Region selections will give a season recap.

The special NIC Booster Club lunch menu is $10 or less and the public is welcome to attend the luncheon. The NIC Booster Club meets on the second and last Tuesday of the month at noon. During the season, coaches will provide updates on upcoming athletic tournaments and discuss completed athletic events.
