SANDPOINT — An accused forger wanted by authorities in California was arrested by Sandpoint Police on Tuesday while attempting to access misappropriated funds at a local bank.

David Mark Gaynor was arrested for providing false information to law enforcement while being questioned at Columbia Bank. He was also wanted on a $100,000 warrant out of San Diego County for unlawful use of identifying information, burglary and forgery.

The warrant was issued after Gaynor failed to appear in San Diego Superior Court last month, court records show.
