Bayley, a freshman from Lakeland High, shot even par after rounds of 1-under and 1-over, finishing at 144 and tied for 13th in the Bandon Dunes Championships on Sunday in Bandon, Ore. "It was another very solid tournament for Derek Bayley," Washington State coach Garrett Clegg said. "He is quietly turning into a leader on this team."

Bayley, a junior from Lakeland High, finished second in the Pioneer Invitational, hosted by Lewis & Clark University in Portland, Ore., shooting an 80 on Monday after having the first round on Sunday rained out.

Stangel, a sophomore from Lake City High, is 8-2 with a 2.00 earned run average in 14 appearances for the Huskies (26-5, 1-1 Pac-12). Stangel is batting .346 (28 for 81) with three home runs and 23 runs batted in and is second on the team with 13 doubles.
