Bigfork Little Guy Wrestling had a busy weekend.

On Saturday the beginners wrestled in Arlee and came away with more wins than losses.

The novices and middles wrestled in their first state qualifying tournament. Wrestlers had to place in the top eight to move on to the InterValley tournament in Libby this weekend.

Though the juniors had the week off, two wrestlers attended the AAU State Folkstyle tournament in Great Falls. Garett Rieke took first place at 140, which qualified him to wrestle for Team Montana at the Middle School National Duals in Des Moines in April.

Bo Meyer qualified as an alternate for Team Montana.

Placers from Arlee:

1st Place: Sawyer Gardner, Fin Nadeau

2nd Place: Angus Anderson, Jase Fazzio, Tanner Gardner, Chase Youso, and Isaac Bjorge

3rd Place: Josh Melton, Nathan Edwards, Seth Richardson,

4th Place: Shelton Woll

Also qualifying for the InterValley: Tyler Wickwire, Bo Modderman, and Archie Brevik
