HINDU: Someone with backbone

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 11 years, 1 month AGO

In response to the article in The Press on the March 7, about Senator Sheryl Nuxoll regarding her refusal to apologize for her remarks about the Hindu prayer at the Idaho senate chambers. I agree and support her 100 percent.

Finally someone with a backbone! Since when does a public official check there beliefs at the door. Let’s face the facts, if you are a real Christian every other religion is a false religion. If Nuxull was a Muslim and said what she said, you know very well there would have been silence from the media. Isn’t it funny how every other religion can voice their views and denounce Christianity and call us infidels among many other nasty things and no one says boo! Tolerance tolerance, they shout from the rooftops, tolerance for everyone except of course for Christians.

Wither anyone likes it or not this nation was founded on Judeo Christian principles. and certainly not by Muslims, Buddhist and Hindus. That is what we live by so don’t expect us to embrace what we consider false religions. I do believe we should live at peace with those whom we disagree but that doesn’t mean in order to do so that we loose our freedom of speech or that we have to agree with everyone else.

I also find it laughable that they (whoever they are, since no one took personal credit for the article) had to go to California and Nevada to find a renegade so called religious person to demand Nuxoll apologize for her remarks.

There are five basic fundamentals of the Christian faith, all involving the life, death and resurrection of one man, Jesus Christ. The Hindu religion has thousands of Gods. Which one was he preying to? There is at least one temple in India where people come from great distances to pay their respects to the 20,000 rats that live there. Don’t take my word for it, a click of the mouse will get you all the information on this subject you want.

I am just thankful that we have at least three people in the state chambers (sad to say) who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe. Political correctness is one thing I can do without!
