Laser hair removal could be the answer. What's all the hype? You know all of that unwanted hair you shave or pluck away almost every day of your life? Well say goodbye to it forever! You may have questions like: does it hurt? How long does it take? How many treatments are required? Here's what you can expect: laser hair removal is pretty painless. Each individual's pain threshold is different, but the treatment is most often described as very tolerable. To help make it more comfortable, our laser is equipped with a cooling system that quickly diminishes any mild pain created during the laser process.

Most clients require eight treatments to reach over 90 percent hair reduction results. Each session is scheduled 4-6 weeks apart. This is a commitment but the results are worth it! Our patients are often thrilled to never have to purchase another razor.

Laser hair removal can be used to treat unwanted facial hair including the upper lip or chin, underarms, bikini area, legs, arms, back and chest and it's not just for women. Men seek laser hair removal for their backs, chest, stomach, neck, and even beard contouring.

When considering laser treatment, keep in mind that sun exposure must be avoided 12 days prior to treatment, through five days post-treatment. No lotion should be applied prior to treatment, and no glitter or sparkle of any kind can be worn in the treatment area.

The benefits of laser hair removal include over 90 percent hair reduction, permanent results, no need to purchase razors, and no more razor burn! If you have questions or are interested in beginning your hair removal journey, we would love to meet with you for a complimentary consultation! This April, we are offering 25 percent off all laser hair removal packages!

Benefits of chemical peels

Chemical peels are a treatment in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin, forcing the skin to exfoliate and peel. The new skin is typically smoother and less wrinkled. Various peels are available including glycolic acid which targets fines lines and uneven skin tone, salicylic acid which targets oil and acne prone skin, and pigment peels which target hyperpigmented areas, freckles and age spots. For a less intense experience, sensitive skin peels are also available.

Skin care and the aging process

As we age, gravity takes its toll, spots begin to appear, we lose volume and our skin becomes more dull. A regular skin care regimen is pertinent to aging gracefully. The first and most important step in defense is sunscreen! UVA and UVB rays from the sun speed up the aging process and can lead to wrinkling, age spots, spider veins, and even melanoma. Sunscreen, especially a "physical" block, meaning one that contains titanium dioxide or zinc oxide, are the best for preventing harmful rays.
