SANDPOINT — A Bonner County man fighting extradition to California to face forgery charges is seeking $500,000 in damages from the county and the city.

David Mark Gaynor said in a notice of tort claim that law enforcement officials here are colluding with authorities in California to circumvent his constitutional right against unlawful searches and seizures.

Gaynor, also known as David Anderson and David Walker, also alleges that Idaho law officers are trying to steal his impounded Volvo by collecting storage fees that will outstrip the value of the vehicle.
