Plows will dig into Glacier Park’s ice and snow covered Going-to-the-Sun Road beginning today, April 1.

As plows move forward from the gate at Lake McDonald Lodge, sections of the road will open to hikers and bicyclists.

Daily status updates and interactive maps can be checked online by visiting www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/goingtothesunroad.htm.

Camas Road is already open to biking and some plowing has begun on the Chief Mountain Road on the east side of the park.
