Jan. 27

• An employee of a store on Mineral Avenue caught a shoplifter on camera. Libby police officers cited and released the offender.

• A caller reported losing a plastic green bag with important documents on Highway 2 in Libby.

• A caller on Idaho Avenue reported someone shot their window with a pellet gun.

• A caller on Oak Street requested assistance in having a trespasser removed from their property.

• A possible drunk driver was reported on Highway 2 leaving a local fast food eatery.

Jan. 28

• A woman was arrested on Spruce Street for assault with a weapon following a report of a woman yelling for someone to call 911.

• An employee from a local business on Highway 2 reported catching a shoplifter on camera.

• A fire was reported at a trailer on Spencer Road.

• A woman went into the sheriff’s office to report an assault from Jan. 24.

Jan. 29

•A man was arrested by the Montana Highway Patrol and transported to Lincoln County jail on a warrant from Eureka City Court.

• A person went to the sheriff’s department lobby to report a fraudulent text message.

• A staff member at the elementary school requested assistance with a moose on the property.

• A woman from Vicks Road reported the theft of her medication and she suspected someone was writing stolen checks on her account.

Jan. 30

• A man on Florence Road reported hearing a chainsaw in the back of his property. Deputies responded and discovered a utility crew working in the area clearing trees away from power lines.

• A caller reported they were trying to get a barrel back from a local gunsmith.

• A woman from Reese Court reported receiving an eviction threat and wanted it noted. She told dispatch she had a beer can she wanted fingerprinted because she thought it belonged to the wife of the trailer court’s manager who she claims barged into her house.

Jan. 31

• A man was arrested near mile marker 20 on Highway 2 for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

• A man from Dakota Avenue requested to speak with an officer about the theft of items from his property.
