Whitefish Community Foundation is now accepting grant applications for the 2015 Community Grant Program.
Nonprofits can apply for up to $6,000 in funding for programs, capital needs and services. Applications must be submitted by June 1 at 3 p.m.
Funding guidelines are available on the Foundation’s website at www.whitefishcommunityfoundation.org and grants will be submitted online through the Foundation’s web based application.
Last year, 74 nonprofit organizations received over $253,000 in funding through the program, a 25 percent increase over the previous year.
Nonprofits must be current 501(c)3, Type I or Type II organizations in good standing with the IRS to apply.
Funding priority goes to organizations based in Whitefish or organizations providing services to the Whitefish community.
Grant awards will be announced Nov. 5 at the annual awards presentation. Funding for the Community Grant Program comes from the interest from the Foundations Permanent Endowment Fund, the Circle of Giving donors, the Summer Art Social and unrestricted donations.
