Jesse Walburn scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh frame May 3 to extend the Glacier Twins winning streak to six games.

Walburn went 2 for 3 with an RBI to lead the Twins to a 3-2 victory over the Belgrade Bandits A at Memorial Field in Whitefish in the American Legion nonconference game. Bryce Fagerland made his pitching debut and allowed just one hit in four innings of work. The Twins topped Belgrade 4-3 in game one of the Sunday doubleheader, scoring the winning run in the bottom of the sixth. Jonny Sapa scored the win on the mound.

On Saturday, the Twins took a doubleheader at home from the Missoula Mavericks AA, winning 2-1 and 5-3. Vinnie Smith scored the winning run in the seventh inning of game one after getting on base with a single to right field. AJ Wetsch was solid on the mound to fend of the Mavs’ bats.

Smith went 4 for 4 at the plate in game two, as the Twins posted five runs in the first two innings to outpace the Mavs. The Twins are now 7-1 overall on the season. They host the Kootenai Valley Rangers on Saturday in a conference doubleheader starting at 5 p.m.
