Emily Getts continued her unbeaten streak last week as she dropped Whitefish’s Keara Delaney, 6-2, 6-0 in No. 1 singles play at home April 30.

Getts likely won’t face a true battle until the state tournament, where Corvallis’ Laramie McHugh is in the wings. McHugh is the returning state Class A champion and has been chewing through her Southwest A competition this season.

As a team, the Wildkats had a tougher time, losing 5-2 to the Lady Bulldogs. The doubles team of Sydney Grilley and Morgan Stenger got the second win for the Kats, dropping Cailyn Ross and Amara McDaniel, 6-2, 6-2.

At Polson on May 2, the girls lost to the Lady Pirates 6-1, but beat Stevensville 4-3. Against Polson, Stenger picked up her first win in singles play, defeating Madison Reilley, 6-2, 6-1.

Against Stevensville, Molly Schmit got in the win column by beating Shelby Stokaw, 6-2, 6-4.

The boys were blanked by Whitefish 7-0 and by Polson 7-0, but won a game against Stevensville, as Qynn Ingraham and Garret Caffery beat Ben Hale and Sam Hale, 6-0, 6-1 in No. 3 doubles.

The teams face Libby at home Friday.
