Volunteer Fair today at Cd'A Public Library

The Kootenai County Young Professionals group will hold its eighth annual Volunteer Fair today from 4-7 p.m. at Coeur d'Alene Public Library.

The event will be held in the Community Room of the library, 702 E. Front Ave. A major sponsor of the Volunteer Fair is United Way of Kootenai County.

The fair will feature local nonprofits that rely heavily on volunteers to provide important social services to the region.

Members of the public are invited to attend the fair, meet representatives of these service organizations and learn what each nonprofit does for the community and what kinds of tasks they need volunteers to do.

It's not too late for nonprofits to participate. Organizations can register at the door.

Light appetizers will be available and four gift cards for local businesses will be given away during the event.

Kootenai County Young Professionals formed in 2007. Its mission is "to enrich and engage young professionals by providing opportunities for philanthropic and social interaction, leadership development and community involvement in Kootenai County."
