Lady Loggers run afoul of streaking Wolfpack

At Kalispell on Tuesday, the Loggers ran into one of the hottest teams in Class AA. The Glacier Wolfpack racked up 17 hits against the Class A Loggers in a non-conference game shortened by the 10-run margin rule.
Hannah England struck out eight for Libby and Devon Gallagher and Auria Benefield both had RBIs for the Loggers.
Ali Williams, who averages 13 strikeouts per game, starred for Glacier in the circle and the batters-box. Williams went 4 for 4 and drove in three runs, including a two-run walk off home run.
She also struck out 11 Loggers, while only allowing three hits and two runs.
One run in the top of the fourth helped Libby close the deficit to 6-1. An RBI single by Gallagher fueled the Lady Loggers comeback.
After pushing one run across the plate in the top of the fifth, the Lady Loggers still trailed 8-2. An error by Glacier gave the team some hope, but the threat came to an end with a fly out.
Erin McHugh also went perfect at the plate, raking three hits in three tries, including a two-run homer in the second inning, part of a back-to-back effort with teammate Kayleena Ikeda, who smacked a solo short right after.
