WENATCHEE, Wash. - Chloe McIntosh hit a two-run single in the top of the seventh to score Hayley Fields and Maddie Anthony as the North Idaho College Cardinals rallied to beat the Wenatchee Valley Knights 7-4 in the second game of a Northwest Athletic Conference softball doubleheader on Thursday.

Wenatchee Valley won the opener 5-3.

Miranda Powless had two RBIs and struck out five in the second game to get her 11th win of the season in the circle for NIC (39-6, 27-3 NWAC), which concludes the season at home on Saturday at noon with a doubleheader against Big Bend of Moses Lake at Memorial Field.

NIC is not eligible for the postseason after moving from the NJCAA Scenic West Athletic Conference to the Northwest Athletic Conference this year because the returning sophomores remain on NJCAA scholarships.
