One-man show 'Thief' debuts in Potlatch May 14-16

A one-man touring show, "Thief" will be performed May 14-16 at the American Legion Log Cabin, 745 Sixth St., Potlatch.
Performances will be at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available at Junction Lumber in Potlatch, online at www.thiefjourney.com and at the door.
All ages are welcome, although the show will appeal to teens and adults.
"Thief" is an experimental theater piece.
"This show is unlike any other one-man show that I have experienced," said creator Todd K. Payne, in a press release.
The show explores events that may have occurred in the spiritual realm directly following the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, 2,000 years ago.
"Whether familiar with the story of the crucifixion or not, I think people will be surprised by what this story is, and definitely, by what it is not," Payne said.
The show is not a musical, but a full orchestral score by Portland composer David Martin is an integral part of the performance.
"I was immediately intrigued when Todd approached me with the concept for this show. I knew the music needed to describe a story like this would be fascinating to write," said Martin, who spent three years composing the score.
"The music for this project has a mysterious, supernatural appeal."
