ST. REGIS – A majority of the graduating seniors from one local high school will, hopefully, find themselves graduating from their college of choice with significantly less debt than the average college graduate after they qualified for substantial scholarships last week.

MINERAL COUNTY – Level three evacuations were in place last week for an area west of Alberton and south of Interstate 90 that included the Hole-in-the-Wall Ranch and several residences as the West Fork Fish Creek fire grew to over 12,000 acres and was threatening structures.

Officer-involved shooting in Superior

SUPERIOR – The carnival atmosphere of the 2015 Mineral County Fair and Rodeo was shattered by the sounds of gunfire Friday night after a Mineral County Sheriff’s deputy opened fire and killed a suspect directly across the street from the rodeo arena.
