Now for the Tidbits
- It was a tough week with the deaths of positive community activists Scott Reed, Frank Henderson and Gladys Schneidmiller and policeman Greg Moore. Another tough one for me was 20-day-old Charlie Donahue, daughter of Jake and Holly Donahue. Jake was editor of the Sentinel student newspaper I advised at North Idaho College.
- Several people have agreed that the playground at McEuen Park needs a fence so children don't disappear. Maybe a service club could help.
- There's no such thing as a "first annual" event. Maybe the promoters hope it is, but it isn't annual until it's the "second annual."
- Watch for news on Heritage Health and Premier Discount in Post Falls, Interstate Office Supply moving in Cd'A, Back Nine Golf in Silver Lake Mall and MOD Pizza in Winco-Crossroads.
- Police were called to a daycare center where a 3-year-old was resisting a rest.
- A real headline: "Autos kill 110 a day; let's resolve to do better."
