Pamela Ann Schaff-Hubof, 57, passed away on May 6, 2015, at Kootenai Health.

Pam was a vibrant woman, known as much for her love of family, friends and animals as her funny - and at times ornery - nature. Those of us who love her will miss her good-natured ribbing, and how special and important she made each of us feel.

Pam was born Aug. 9, 1957, in Spokane, Wash. She graduated from Marycliff High School, then Spokane Falls Community College. Pam enjoyed a fulfilling career as a loan officer, working many years for, and ultimately retiring from, the Federal Small Business Administration.

Pam married Robert "Bob" Hubof on Sept. 30, 2006, after more than 25 years of friendship. They lived in Post Falls, where they attended St. George's Catholic Church - and as many Post Falls Trojans basketball games as they could.

Family was so important to Pam. She invested in each of us, attending every event that was important to the ones she loved. Pam traveled to Boise many years to cheer on her brother Chad as he competed in Special Olympics events. She supported her nieces and nephews - and recently her great-nieces and great-nephews - at their activities from birth through adulthood, and was a favorite babysitter as they grew.

Pam made a point to pamper her sisters over the years as they celebrated birthdays, Mother's Days, and "Sister Weekend" getaways. She was always there when it mattered. Her presence and encouragement earned her the title of family mascot, which she held proudly. Pam loved spending time with her close-knit family, who will cherish memories of time spent together at the family lake house.

Pam was a charter member and the vice-president elect of the Coeur d'Alene Lions Club, an activity she enjoyed with her husband. She was a regular fixture at their Halloween Haunted House, volunteering to take tickets and pass out candy. She was a lifetime member of the Little People of America (LPA). Pam was active in the local LPA chapter, the Evergems, at one time serving as president. She thoroughly enjoyed attending national LPA conferences across the country with her husband and their friends. One of Pam's favorites in recent years was a trip to Washington, D.C., over the Fourth of July holiday, where she watched fireworks over the National Mall with Bob.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Sr. and Joyce Schaff; her sisters Trina King and Candy Beckman; and her brother, Melvin Schaff, Jr.

Pam is survived by her husband, Bob Hubof; step-daughter Heidi (Matt) Crowell; four grandchildren; siblings Penny (Michael) Bauer, Sandy (Randall) James, Patrick (Lorri) Schaff, Melanie (Kenneth) VanDyk, and Chad Schaff; her aunt, Dorothy Rees; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and her pets Bailey, Sassy and Sam.

Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. on Monday, May 11, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls, Idaho, and 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at St. George's Catholic Church, 2010 N. Lucas St., also in Post Falls.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at St. George's Church in Post Falls. Reception will follow.

Pam, we love you and we will miss you.
