Flathead Valley Community College is offering a new training opportunity for area teachers.

The Teacher Camp is an affordable opportunity for kindergarten through 12th-grade teachers to earn up to four college credits during the sessions this summer, June 15-19 and June 22-26.

Teachers can choose from a variety of courses emphasizing strategies in math, reading and language arts, classroom behavior management, technology integration and microbiology. Teachers also can choose K-6 or 7-12 instruction, depending on what grades they teach.

Several occupational trades courses also will be offered. Classes are worth from one to three credits and give teachers new strategies that can be implemented immediately and will allow them to network with peers across the state.

The class provides lunch each day, a T-shirt and an optional yoga class.

For tuition prices and to apply, visit www.fvcc.edu/teachercamp or contact Connie Hitchcock at 756-4329.
