THOMPSON FALLS - The Thompson Falls School’s eighth grade class held a car wash on Saturday to raise funds for their end of the year trip to Silverwood Theme Park in Idaho.
Along the courthouse in Thompson Falls in the parking lot, the eighth graders set up their operation, cleaning anyone’s truck or car who wished it sparkling clean.
There was not an exact cost to have a vehicle cleaned, but rather it was whatever the patron wished to donate to the cause.
Lisa Micklon, a parent who helped the students set up, bought the rags, sponges and soap for the students to use.
The car wash lasted from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Throughout the day, much of the class cycled through and helped.
Parents also cycled on through and helped out the students use the power washer or collect donations.
