MALCOLM: For Lakes Highway

Dan Malcolm for Lakes Highway District Commissioner. Dan was appointed to the commission two years ago. After accepting the position I watched Dan work very hard to familiarize himself with every road in the district. He also spent many hours learning the responsibilities and gaining the knowledge to make decisions on Lakes Highway District issues.

I first met Dan and his wife Carol when we were all Jaycees (Junior Chamber of Commerce) many years ago. The most important part of being a Jaycee was to learn to volunteer to make your community a better place. Dan was always in the forefront to help develop a playground, assist kids in need, whatever the issue. He refereed kids sports for many years. He managed Central Premix for many years. His management experience is an asset to the Highway District.

He understands budgets and understands how to manage people and he also understands the needs of the people using the district’s roads. He gets out on those roads and drives every road in the district to see how they are working and what the needs are. I am honored to call Dan my friend and I respect his dedication to this work. He does not miss a meeting either by phone or his presence. He does this work to serve and I would urge you to vote for Dan Malcolm for Lakes Highway District Commissioner.
