BOISE — After a pair of convincing straight set wins, Sandpoint sophomores Laney Search and Khloe Kyllonen advanced to the semis of the main draw in girls doubles, leading the Bulldogs on the first day of the 4A state tennis tournament in Boise.

Unusual rain in Boise forced all classifications to play inside at the Boise Racket and Swim Club, with matches shortened to eight game pro sets in lieu of two out of three sets, which only amplified the usual nerves that come with playing at state.

Search and Kyllonen made quick work of their opponents, setting up a semi against Bishop Kelly that Bulldogs head coach Kent Anderson feels his girls can win.
