Steven E. Mollett, 65

Steven E. Mollett peacefully passed away at home in Post Falls, Idaho, on May 1, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born on Oct. 12, 1949, to Chuck and Ida Mollett in California.

Steve met the love of his life, his wife of 45 years, Charmaine, while in California. Steve and Charmaine enjoyed an active life while in California where they participated in motorcycle clubs, camping groups and drag racing. He was a car enthusiast and was employed as a mechanic at Ford Motor Co. While in California, they welcomed their first daughter, Carie. The family moved to North Idaho in 1980. They welcomed their second daughter, Carly, a couple of years after arriving in Idaho.

Steve loved to live life. He was a passionate family man who always worked hard for his family. He was well loved and known to many for his fun loving personality, work ethic and loyalty. He had passion for life and it showed in everything he did. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Post Falls Fire Department, Regional Mechanic for the State of Idaho and worked for the City of Post Falls.

Steve loved the outdoors and the family enjoyed countless camping trips. Steve also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a car enthusiast which led to many hours in the garage building his beloved '39 Chevy Sedan hot rod. Steve loved to take drives in his car and participated in many car shows.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and Ida Mollett; and brothers Mike and Doug Mollett.

Steve is survived by his wife, Charmaine; daughters Carie Walker and Carly Jost; grandchildren Baily Stamsos, Degan Walker and Nixon Jost; and sister, Tamra Green.

Steve will be remembered as a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, hero and friend.

A celebration of life will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, at Q'emiln Park in Post Falls, Idaho.
