Cecilia G. Wilmes, 97, passed away March 15, 2015, at the Hospice House of North Idaho in Hayden, Idaho. She found peace as she was reunited with her husband, Orvis O. Wilmes. She told us he was waiting for her so they could hold hands and he could give her wild roses (as he loved to do).

Cecilia was born Sept. 12, 1917, in South Dakota. She worked at the St. Maries Hospital for several years as a caregiver, and also as a cook at the Plummer School.

Cecilia loved to read and crochet, but most of all her passion was her family. She wanted all of her family to know how very much she loved us all and that she will miss us.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Orvis O. Wilmes; brothers George Brink, Jesse Brink, Ed Brink and Dale Brink; and sisters Gladys Brink, Marie-Sis-Jones and Florence Adair. Cecilia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Twyla Wilmes of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, daughter Dolores (Lori) Maceyak of Benton City, Wash.; grandchildren Olin (Penny) Amos of Burbank, Wash., Vicky Peterson of Post Falls, Idaho, Butch (Robin) Wilmes of Hayden, Idaho, Connie Carman of Benton City, Wash., and Sandy Wilmes of Plummer, Idaho. She also had several great-grandkids, great-great-grandkids, and great-great-great-grandkids, along with nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.

We will gather together to celebrate Cecilia's life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, at the ranch in Plummer, Idaho.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of North Idaho (www.hospiceofnorthidaho.org) in Hayden, Idaho.
