Health-conscious professionals from a variety of fields will offer their expertise to the public during a free forum.

The goal of Coeur d'Alene's annual Wellness Fair, which takes place on June 11 in the Community Room of the Coeur d'Alene Library, is to empower citizens to pursue healthy lifestyles. Beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting until 2 p.m., the forum will offer health screenings, education, advice from local wellness experts, food and beverage samples, and more.

"It's really an awareness event to provide information that allows people to make healthier choices," Melissa Tosi, city human resources director, said in a news release. "Our goal is to motivate people to make positive health behavior changes in all aspects of life."

Professionals that will be providing their input during the forum include dieticians, chiropractors, massage therapists, oral health care and medical professionals, and fitness club representatives. The Wellness Fair is hosted by the city of Coeur d'Alene and Helbling Benefit Consulting.
