Noxon and Hot Springs athletes move on to state meet

MISSOULA – The Dornblaser Field was a busy place last week, hosting both the Western B and Western C divisional competitions.
Athletes from Hot Springs and Noxon kept pace with the field during the boy’s competition
The Savage Heat took sixth at the divisional meet with 36.33 points and the Red Devils placed twelfth with 16 team points.
Anthony Byrns of Hot Springs took third in the 400-meter event with a time of 51.43.
Byrns also took third in the 200-meter event and placed fourth in the 100-meter event with times of 23.10 and 11.30 respectively.
Bradey Wilson of Noxon took second in the 800-meter event, crossing the finish line with a time of 1:58.84.
Wilson also had a pair of fourth place finishes in the 1,600-meter event and 300-meter hurdles, with times of 4:37.85 and 43.18 respectively.
Trevor Paro of the Savage Heat took third in the triple jump event with a jump of 42-01.25.
Paro also took fourth in the long jump event with a jump of 20-0.
Tanner Hoff placed fourth for Hot Springs in the high jump competition with a jump of 5-8.
In the 400-meter relay event, the Savage Heat took second place with a team time of 45.66.
