Dennis Harrison had a "hunch" that his lottery winnings weren't over.

It turned out that the Rathdrum man was correct.

Harrison turned in a $50,000 lottery ticket on Wednesday after playing the game Giant Jumbo Bucks.

"I had just cashed a $75 winning scratch ticket, and as I was walking out the door I had a hunch that I should pick up a couple scratch tickets for the road," said Harrison, who bought his ticket at Love's Travel Stop in Post Falls. "I purchased a $10 ticket and two $5 tickets, one of which was Giant Jumbo Bucks that turned out to be worth $50,000."

Harrison's take-home pay after taxes is $33,800. The odds of winning the $50,000 was 1 in 245,588.

For selling the ticket, Love's receives $5,000.

Harrison was one of five players who claimed a total of $350,000 in top prizes in scratch games in two days, including two $100,000 winners and three $50,000 winners.

"They say you should save your pennies for a rainy day," said Idaho Lottery Public Information Specialist David Workman. "It has been raining winners at the lottery the last two days, and between Tuesday and Wednesday, we paid out 35 million pennies."

Phillip Lee, Heyburn, won $100,000 on Bonus Bonanza Cashword. Joy Hobbs, Boise, won $100,000 on Giant Jumbo Bucks.

The other $50,000 winners were Jesse Stewart Jr., of Roy, Utah, on Frogger; and Albert Kiemelem, Boise, on Slingo Madness.
