SANDPOINT — Two teens have been arrested in connection with a vandalism spree at Sandpoint High School that caused more than $2,400 in damage.

William Henry Jones and Conner Alex Thompson were ordered detained Thursday on felony charges of burglary and malicious injury to property.

The teens’ parents recommended their children remain in detention to underscore the gravity of the offenses, Bonner County Deputy Prosecutor Nicholas Lapire told Judge Debra Heise.

The break-in occurred in the early-morning hours of May 7. A rock was used to break a window in a hallway at the rear of the building and again to breach a classroom window.
